What we collect and why
Privacy Policy
Last updated September 7, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy explains how NursesQuest handles personal information when you visit the site, create an account, study, or buy a path. It should be read with the Terms of Service and Cookie Policy.
2. Information we collect
Account: name, email, password hash, and sign-in timestamps.
Billing identity (required to purchase): legal name, billing email, street address, city, region, postal code, and country. We store this on the order so we know who bought digital access. All sales are final.
Study data: exam attempts, answers, flags, scores, streaks, and plan entitlement.
Technical: device type, browser, IP address, and cookie preferences.
We do not ask for Social Security numbers, NCSBN candidate numbers, or school transcripts.
3. How we use it
To run your account and the studio; to complete and record purchases; to prevent fraud and abuse; to honor all-sales-final acknowledgements; to improve original questions; and to send service email (receipts, password reset, security).
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use study answers to train public models.
4. Sharing
We share information with infrastructure and email providers who process it for us under contract; with payment processors if and when a card charge is taken; and when the law requires it (subpoena, exam-security investigation, or to protect a person from serious harm).
5. Retention
Account and study data last until you delete the account. Order records, billing identity, and the four checkout acknowledgements (terms, privacy, age, all-sales-final) are kept as long as needed for tax, accounting, and fraud prevention — typically at least seven years.
6. Your choices
You can update profile details, export study data, and request deletion from the Account page. You can refuse non-essential cookies from the cookie banner. You cannot use the paid studio without an account.
7. Children
NursesQuest is for nursing students and adult learners. It is not directed at children under 13. See Children’s Privacy for COPPA details.
8. Security and transfers
We use industry-typical safeguards (hashed passwords, authenticated sessions, access controls). No method of transmission is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
9. Contact
Privacy requests: legal@nursesquest.com. If you are in a jurisdiction with a statutory privacy right (access, deletion, correction), we will honor a verifiable request.
